Since 1990, we’ve built outdoor furniture with our genuine POLYWOOD® lumber featuring a smooth, satin painted wood appearance — our Classic Finish.
Fast forward almost 30 years later, and we’re thrilled to introduce a brand new finish!
Vintage Finish
Inspired by wire brushed textures, our new Vintage Finish has a subtle texture and richness of matte painted wood.
Just like our Classic Finish, Vintage is made from recycled milk jugs and can withstand rain, sun, snow, sleet, and salt spray. The color runs all the way through the lumber and it’s backed by the same 20-year warranty. The only difference? Aesthetic texture.
No matter which finish you choose, genuine POLYWOOD® lumber is durable, all-weather, and low-maintenance. Learn more about how we transform milk jugs into outdoor furniture.
8 Colors to Suit Your Style
Joining our ever-popular white and vibrant lumber colors, we’ve introduced two new, exclusive to Vintage Finish, earth tones: Coffee and Sahara.
Compared to our traditional Classic Finish Slate Grey color, Coffee is a bit darker. Sahara is richer and warmer when compared to our Classic Finish Sand color.
These new earth tones are available in our Vineyard Adirondacks, Rocking Chairs, Benches, Deep Seating and Dining selections. Vineyard Adirondack Chairs are also available in Vintage Finish vibrants:
Recommended Lumber & Fabric Pairings
For our Deep Seating furniture we’ve curated three top looks, pairing each traditional Vintage Finish color with three Sunbrella® fabric options.
These pairings are also great to reference if you’re looking for coordinating pillows or an umbrella to pair with your furniture in Vintage Finish.

Hi,
I sell your range in Australia with great success, though I’m getting a lot of feedback about the dirt trapping characteristics of the white lumber. Particularly if pieces are sitting under trees they can get somewhat dirty and then difficult to clean. With the vintage finish being more textured, can I assume that this would be even more difficult to clean than your standard lumber?
Regards
Chris

Hi Chris,
Our Vintage Finish does have more texture but it is just as easy to clean as our Classic Finish. Of course, any furniture sitting under trees or exposed to the elements will gather dirt, but luckily it doesn’t affect the integrity of POLYWOOD® lumber in any way. For stubborn spots we recommend using a bleach mixture and allowing that to sit before scrubbing and rinsing off. Customers can also use a high-pressure power washer which works like a dream!

Curious why your have made nearly all of your style in the new vintage finish with the exception of Classic Andirondack series. Of course those are the ones I want and the style I prefer.
Will it be included in the new material soon?
Hi Laurie,
Our Vintage Finish was initially introduced in the Vineyard Collection, which was also expanded to feature deep seating and dining. Currently, this is the only collection available in Vintage Finish. In the near future, we will be expanding the availability of Vintage Finish, however, there are no plans at the moment to include the Classic Adirondack Collection.
I will say that the Vineyard Adirondack Chair is very similar to the Classic Adirondack Chair — they have the same back style. The Vineyard Adirondack Dining Chairs are also similar to the Classic Adirondack Dining Chairs, just larger chairs with a curved back for additional comfort.
