Outdoor Adirondack Chairs from POLYWOOD®

All POLYWOOD® Adirondack chairs combine style, beauty, and comfort to create a modern twist on a classic design. The Adirondack chair is the perfect outdoor furniture for decks, patios, poolsides, beachfronts, and balconies.

An Overview of the Adirondack Chair

The Adirondack chair is rightly called a classic. Traditionally made from 11 flat wooden boards, it features a straight back, deep seat, and wide armrests. Although the chair has been around for over a hundred years, the beauty and practicality of its design means it’s still styled the same as when Thomas Lee invented it in 1903.

A chair that Lee originally created for visitors to his summer home, the Adirondack has been broadly popular since it went into production in the early twentieth century. Refined in 1938, the newer style of Adirondack is styled for greater comfort, featuring a contoured seat and backrest.

Unique Features of POLYWOOD® Adirondack Chairs

We took the idea of the traditional Adirondack and improved on it, just a little. We’re proud to offer many different styles of Adirondack chair including the Classic, South Beach, Palm Coast, Long Island, Quattro, Seashell, and more. In addition to our different designs, our chairs are available in a variety of subtle earth tones and vibrant colors.

Even better, when you’re buying POLYWOOD® furniture, you’re buying quality. Our unique HDPE lumber is superior to both traditional wood and plastic materials, and it’s perfect for your outdoor furniture. POLYWOOD® lumber is completely weather resistant, and unlike wood it won’t crack or rot. Its density and Color-Stay Technology also makes it superior to plastic as it won’t fade or split in the sun.

Maintenance is a breeze too — you can even leave the furniture outside all year round! POLYWOOD® furniture just requires a wipe down with a damp cloth and gentle soap. If you want the best of the Adirondack chair style in a piece of heirloom furniture that will last for years, POLYWOOD® furniture is the natural choice.

How and Where to Enjoy Your Adirondack Chair

On your deck

The deck is the perfect place for the Adirondack chair. Choose a beautiful brown earth tone to match the color of your deck and relax back into the chair, glass of wine in hand. Imagine as the day draws to a close and you enjoy the sunset, shadows playing across the yard as you unwind from your day.

By the pool

Naturally, our Adirondack chairs are completely waterproof, so why not enjoy them down by the pool? Sunshine beats down, you let out a deep, fulfilled sigh and watch as the kids play, their laughter the perfect complement to the pool party.

On your balcony

Life in the city is busy, so you enjoy those quiet moments sitting in the balcony, watching the world go by. You’ve chosen a jet-black, folding Adirondack chair to complement your loft apartment. Your chair folds up, so you can stow it away when it's not needed.
